Christmas Cards?!?!

Okay, so I really meant to send out a Christmas Card this year. Thank you to all of you that sent us a card. We loved them.
I will give you a quick little update on all of us, since we didn't do the card thing. Next year.....

Craig: Craig is doing good. His company is doing good. He is serving as second counselor in the Elders Quarm Presidency and is enjoying that.

Jera: I am doing good. I have good days and bad days with my health, but it could always be worse. I am still at home with the kids and loving it. I am serving as the second counselor in the Young Women's Presidency. I love it. I was in the primary presidency right before, so I was a little nervous for the change. It has been great though.

Makade: Makade is six and a half. He is in first grade. He loves going to school. He is quit a social little butterfly. He is playing basketball right now and is really enjoying that.

Jaxon: Jaxon is four, he will be five in February. He is in the 4 year old preschool. He is excited to start kindergarten next year. He is a fun little boy. He love playing with his brother and sister.

Alex: Alex is three. She is such a little girl. She loves shoes, lipstick, getting her hair done, jewelry. Any girly thing. She is in dance and loves that.

Brooklyn: Brooklyn is 17 months. Yes, one more month until nursery...... She is such a good little baby. She is so fun. She loves playing with her sister and brothers.

We hope you all have had a good year and a Merry Christmas!

A Little Scare

I will try to give the short version.
Saturday night at about midnight Bailee calls me and says "something is wrong with mom, her eyes are crossed". I had her put mom on the phone and sure enough I could tell she was starting to have a stroke. Kane had taken a sleeping pill, so he was no good that night. I stayed on the phone with mom while Craig drove down and got her. He and Bailee took her to the E.R. at Jordan Valley, they called mom's doctor. Her doctor wanted her to come to the University of Utah hospital, so they could monitor her there. They have done a lot of tests and we are hoping she will be coming home today. She is doing good now, but that sure was a scare.

Christmas Dance Recital

We started Alex in dance in August and they just had their first recital. It was so cute. They had all the kids wear their P.J.'s. Alex did such a good job. At the end Craig gave her flowers. She thought that was great!

In-laws

Every year we get together with all the adults in Craig's family (my in-laws) and go to some kind of Christmas event. This year we went to the Desert Star Theater. It was a lot of fun. Everyone was there except for Steve and Amanda. We missed them, but still had a great time. I honestly think I am the luckiest person when it comes to in-laws. I have the best. We all get a long and have such a good time together. They are all so good to me and my family. They are always there to help me out with the kids or anything else that I need on a bad day. They are good to just help even when I say no. They all know me too well. I love you all!! Thanks :)

Traditions

It was tradition week and Jaxon's preschool. Most people brought things to make or something like that. We decided to take grandpa Kane to sing Christmas songs with the class. They all loved it. Jaxon had to play the bongo's, since he IS in grandpa's band. Thanks for the great time Jaxon and Grandpa Kane.

Ryan Shupe & the RubberBand

Okay, so my family really likes Ryan Shupe. When I found out he was going to be at South Town Mall for a mini Christmas Concert we just had to be there. Makade was at school, so Jaxon, Alex, Brooklyn, Grandma Gin and I went.
Jaxon has been on a kick lately trying to convince everyone that He Is one of Santa's helpers. He had to wear his Santa hat and all. When we were at the concert he was singing the songs along with the band. He said to me "mom, I think they are going to want me to come up and sing with them since I know all the songs". Unfortunately they didn't ask him to come up. He did get his new Christmas CD signed and thought that was great. After the concert we appropratly went up to the eatery to have some "corndogs" for lunch. For those of you that don't know they sing a song called "corndogs". I know I am jumping around, but you know how I said Jaxon is convinced he is Santa's helper. He saw Santa there at the mall. He walks right up to him and says "ho,ho,ho Merry Christmas" as if it were some kind of code they had and then he just walked off. It was so funny. We had a great time. I love this time of year. The kids come up with such funny things.

"Here comes Santa Clause"

For the past couple of years we have gone to the Riverton City Hall to see Santa.
We stand out in the cold for about an hour so we can be one of the first ones in line. The kids all just play around and wait for Santa and Mrs. Clause. They come in on a fire engine and then we all follow them up so the kids can sit on Santa's lap and tell them what they want for Christmas. My kids absolutely loved seeing Santa. Alex was a little nervous to sit on his lap, so I had to sit with her. The kids all had such a great time. We were there with cousins and friends. After we saw Santa we got to go decorate cookies, go on a hay ride and have scones and hot chocolate. What a good time for all.

Thanksgiving!!!!

This year we had Thanksgiving here at our house. It was my mom's year to have us all over, but because of her health and Kane's knee replacement surgery they weren't up for it. It was my first year doing Thanksgiving and I think it turned out really well. We had Mom, Kane and Bailee, Brian, Mindie and Ridge, Chett, Jory and Jack all over for dinner. Jory's friend Danielle came over later to hang out. Justin and Carolyn had just had baby Aspen, so they stayed home this year. We missed them, but understood. Thanks everyone for coming! I was pretty busy that day, so I didn't take a whole lot of pictures, but here are some on the one's I do have...
